and the CWA
(Connect Wireless Administrator) certification will be offered to
individuals who pass all three.
These
three courses are open to all, and all are invited to take them
to learn about our products.
Here's
a description of the three online courses:
PowerNet
Twin Client:
It is an introductory tutorial guiding you through the
basic operation of Twin Client with your RF terminal. Now you don't
have to wait for a training class to learn how to use Twin Client.
It is a laboratory-based tutorial in which you will install Twin
Client, load your terminal, and practice with your terminal by connecting
to our AS/400 server. It's a great way to get started with PowerNet
Twin Client.
PowerNet
OpenAir Windows:
Learn how to use our RF-Network controller server software in conjunction
with Twin Client. This advanced course assumes you have already
learned the basics of Twin Client operation and focuses on the similarities
and differences between using Twin Client in Thick (Direct) Mode
and in Thin (Server) Mode. Also applicable for those interested
in OpenAir 400.
PowerNet
AirLinc:
Learn how to create your very own data-collection application, no
programmer required! AirLinc works with our OpenAir Windows server
and provides you with all the tools you need to get your terminals
communicating with any ODBC database. Use our sample database and
see how easy it really is to use this powerful middleware tool to
fulfill your program development needs yourself.

offers a two day program that covers PowerNet Twin Client
and its relation to our OpenAir Servers. The price of the
course is $795 per student.
Connect
also offers a one day program that covers PowerNet Twin Client
and its relation to our AirLinc Application Generator. The
price of the course is $200 per student.
Classes
will be taught on an ad hoc basis where a business partner
requests training or where ten or more students register for
our scheduled classes.

Twin Client - OpenAir Server |

Description:
This course is a detailed, hands-on
look at the Twin Client and OpenAir products that are now
used on over 120,000 wireless data collection devices worldwide.
Installation, setup, configuration and advanced features are
covered in a step-by-step program that allows the participant
to become comfortable with demonstrating, installing and supporting
PowerNet.
PowerNet
Twin Client is the most advanced Telnet Client Loading and
Configuration Tool available for today's mobile workforce.
The Twin Client Manager offers choices for VT100, VT220, HP700,
TN5250, and TN3270 terminal emulation from your terminal directly
to your host. Other advanced configuration features include
RF program downloading, screen reformatting, and IP address
assignment.
Parallels
to the OpenAir server environment are emphasized and connectivity,
hardware and software issues are detailed and discussed. The
course is a two day session.

AirLinc Application Generator

| Description:
PowerNet AirLinc Application Generator
is for experienced RF professionals and is taught using a
Windows OpenAir server so some server information will be
covered though it is not the primary emphasis of this instruction.
AirLinc
allows RF systems to be designed and deployed in a fraction
of the time usually required for custom application engineering.
This one day course focuses on in-depth information and rapid
proficiency with AirLinc.
Prerequisites:
Familiarity with Windows family
OS, installing software, navigation and network setup. Working
knowledge of RF networks. Network capable laptop PC running
Windows 9x, NT, 2k or XP. SQL and ODBC familiarity as well
as experience with programmatic logic are highly suggested.
